Points From Practice -- Defense (10/31/18)

October 31, 2018

Kentucky plays host to the No. 6 ranked Georgia Bulldogs with a trip to the SEC Championship in Atlanta on the line. Saturday is going to be the biggest football game played in Lexington in a long time, and maybe ever. Today, the Cats had to prepare for the historic game in the rain. We heard from select players and coaches on the defensive side of the football following their Wednesday practice.

  • Defensive Coordinator Matt House said Georgia's offense has great runners and will show them a lot of different formations.
  • Safety Mike Edwards said he wasn't surprised by the defensive performance in the second half against Missouri, mentioned that is their goal every game.
  • Outside Linebacker Josh Allen said nothing has changed this week, they are doing what they normally do.
  • Linebacker Kash Daniel said they are getting the recognition he feels they deserve (being ranked in the top 10 in the first College Football Playoff rankings), but also mentioned a lot of people don't like the fact they are getting recognition and said they can "deal with it."
