Three-Star Defensive End Jamarius Dinkins Commits to Kentucky
Jamarius Dinkins, a three-star defensive lineman from Columbus Ohio, commited to Kentucky late Thursday night. After being recruited personally by Vince Marrow, he announced his decision via twitter with a note thanking the Kentucky staff.
Dinkins plays strongside defensive end for Walnut Ridge High School in Columbus, where he attracted attention from Kentucky, West Virginia, Michigan State, and Virginia, among others. His offer from Kentucky came on January 18, five days before his other Power 5 offers started rolling in.
Dinkins will join a deep group on the defensive line with Josh Paschal currently starting in the role of strongside DE. At 6’6” and 255 pounds, his size will be a major asset as the Kentucky coaches get the chance to develop his talent.
