PJ Washington announces via Twitter he is returning to UK for his sophomore season. The buzz around Washington was he would only leave UK if he had a guarantee from a team that he would be a first-round pick. It is safe to say, he never got a guarantee, despite a great showing at the NBA Combine. Washington returning is huge for UK and sets them up nicely in 2018-2019, with a few key decisions still to be made.
I would end it here. It’s about P.J., not about the other guys. If you don’t like that idea, just delete my last sentence and plug the rest of what you wrote in instead.
Having Washington returning, with the potential returns of Wenyen Gabriel and Jarred Vanderbilt, the frontcourt for UK could be one of the most talented in the country. That isn’t including at the possibility of adding Stanford grad transfer Reid Travis, who Kentucky is the heavy favorite to land.
